Moun­­­tain­eering covers all activities that extend beyond classic mountain climbing. It includes everything from basic entry-level approaches, via ferrata and high-altitude tours to exped­itions in the form of discovery and research journeys to remote and uncharted regions. It also involves winter mountain climbing, an athletic activity that sets itself apart from classic mountain climbing because of the cold, icy conditions under which climbers perform it. Footwear for the world’s highest mountains is high-end mountain boots and approach boots. Optimised for high-altitude tours, mixed terrain and demanding via ferrata, they also come with crampon welts for state-of-the-art binding systems. The collection is comple­­mented by expedition boots designed for tours up to 8,000 metres.

Climbing zone A few rocky passages have to be cleared on the way to the rock face or the via ferrata. The sole of approach boots is equipped with a climbing zone for this purpose. The zone facil­itates easier movement during small scrambling sections.
